Our planet’s water, atmosphere, carbon and soil are all connected to the sustainability of our food systems. Solving the challenges associated with climate change, as well as issues such as deforestation and biodiversity loss will require an unprecedented transformation in the way our value chain operates.
As a Group, we are committed to accelerating our efforts and partnering with our suppliers, customers and industry to tackle these challenges.
We are one of the largest users of electricity across Australia and New Zealand, and our electricity use represents the majority of our operational emissions footprint. Our goal to be 100% powered by green electricity will make a significant positive change to Australia’s energy mix. We will invest in new large-scale renewable electricity projects and solar on our rooftops to make this possible.
